WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
Have you ever wondered how your favorite mandolin players come up with such great solos? In this workshop students will explore different styles of solos found in Bluegrass music and look at how to approach developing better solos for themselves.

The class will cover learning new licks and how to apply them in different tunes, tips for practicing the ideas covered, and tricks for sounding like a pro (even if you’re not).

The workshop will be interactive, so students should bring their mandolin and be ready to play.

The workshop will include time for general Q and A, open to any questions about music/mandolin. Whether you’re aspiring to play professionally or just want to sound better at your local jam session, there will be something in this workshop for everyone.
