Beverly Allen Polly, 51, passed away into the arms of angels at her home peacefully with her family by her side, Wednesday, April 30, 2014, after a courageous 9-year battle with cancer.
Beverly was an avid musician who played the upright and electric bass in numerous bands, but bluegrass held a special place in her heart. Beverly was known and admired for her friendly smile and the joyful way she sang and played bass with Raymie Moore, Dennis McDaniel, Phil Elliott, and all her other friends at the Pearl jam. We all will also remember and miss the wonderful way she played and sang on stage at the Salmon Lake Bluegrass festivals.
Beverly's funeral was held at Alexander's Midway Funeral Home Chapel, Springtown, Texas with Interment in Jaybird Cemetery. Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Dallas Allen. Survivors include her daughter, Alisha Polly; mother, Bille Massey Allen; and brother, Brad Allen.
