Brian Byrne (1948-2013)
(1948–2013)
Brian and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary two weeks ago. Our commitment to each other was total, and the time we spent apart in 41 years can be measured in minutes. I am certain of his love for me. Many of you know he would publicly proclaim it on stage at Pearl – much to my embarrassment.
My heart is broken, yet I know the love we both felt with our Pearl family will always be a sweet comfort. I hear him singing “Far Side Banks of Jordan” and know he waits for me......“Love, you will reside in my heart until I see you once again in God’s grace.” ~ Elaine, 10/2/13
A memorial service was held to celebrate Brian at the Williamson County Association of REALTORS, 123 Old Settlers Blvd., Round Rock, TX 78664 on Sunday, October 6 at 3 p.m. Many of Brian’s friends gathered to join Elaine in a farewell. Click here to read a transcript of the Memorial Service and hear a recording made in 2008 by Brian & Borrowed Time singing and playing their beautiful version of "Far Side Banks of Jordan". Please, no flowers. Donations to Pearl Community Center or your favorite charity in Brian’s name would be a wonderfully suitable act of love. Sympathy can be addressed to Elaine at 17021 Ennis Trail, Austin, TX 78717 or by e-mail at elaine_byrne@yahoo.com. (elaine-underscore-byrne@yahoo.com)
