Bryan Bowers (1953-2014)
Pearl Community Center board member and volunteer kitchen cashier at the Pearl Bluegrass events passed away Friday, 1/31/14 at 4:03 pm due to pneumonia complications. Bryan was always cheerful and welcoming to everyone who came to the dining hall and we all will remember and ever appreciate his warm smile, his friendship and all the work he contributed to help support Pearl Bluegrass and the Community Center.
Bryan was born Nov 9, 1953 in Beaumont, Texas. He grew up in the Fannett area where he met and married his wife, Pam. Together they raised two sons, Brady and Daniel. After a distinguished 25 year career as a firefighter and leader he retired from the Beaumont Fire Department. In 2000, he and Pam settled in Pearl, Texas to continue his love of ranching and farming. He was also well respected for his construction and remodeling work in both Beaumont and Evant. Bryan loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and kicking around the ranch. He was a lifelong student of ranch management, conservation and Texas.
A beautiful memorial service was held on Feb 4th at the Pearl Community Church with fellowship and a very nice lunch following at the Pearl Community Center. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Pam; his son Brady and his wife Sarah and their children, Dan, 6 and Chloe, 4; his son Daniel and his wife, Joanna, and their son Taylor Navesken, 15, and child arriving mid-July.
