** Following is a note from Dan's friends and band-mates, Brian & Elaine Byrne. The note includes information about the funeral arrangements. **
Dear Friends, our brother, Dan Ryan, lost his courageous battle against cancer yesterday evening, Sept. 25th, and went home to join our Lord at 5:09 PM. Dan leaves a legacy as a man of faith, one who served his country, a loving husband, father and brother and a great friend to all of us. His devotion to his wife, Sharon, his strength and courage in the face of such formidable odds and personal discomfort was something I will always remember.

Dan's wife, Sharon, has asked me - and each of you - to please let others in our musical community know about his passing and the following arrangements.
Visitation: Saturday evening from 5pm-7pm at Beck's Funeral Home on Hwy 620.
Funeral Services: 2pm on this Sunday at Beck's Chapel.
For the last seven years, Elaine and I and Lyndon (and earlier on Jim, Don and Erica) were blessed to have Dan's unfailing personal support and talented contributions to our band, Borrowed Time. We are so truly grateful for the many joyful experiences, now permanent memories, that we shared together. I hope one day to once again to be able to turn to my left and say "Dan can you kick this one off?" and hear his mandolin lead us on. Please forward this information to others in our musical community.
