Lyndal Cannon - (1939-2013)
(1939–2013)
Wilbur Lyndal “Lynn” Cannon was born on October 20, 1939, in Austin, TX, where he lived most of his life. He passed away on July 21, 2013, at age 73 after a 10-month battle with brain cancer, which he fought with much grace and courage. He is survived by his wife, Judi, his sons, Warren and Scott, his daughter-in-law, Gina, his grandchildren: Kirsten, Karey, Kalen, Sharayah, Cierra and Max, his sister, Sharon, and many extended family members.
Over the years, Lyndal worked in the high-tech industry, including Burroughs Corporation, Tandem, EDS, Accenture and, most recently, contracting for TMHP.
Lyndal had a great many gifts, talents and interests and excelled at all he put his hands to, skillfully playing guitar and banjo, building several homes over the years, car projects with his sons and time well-spent with loved ones. But Lynn’s greatest, lifelong passion was mentorship and ministry to his family, co-workers, neighbors, those in need and those in prison. He was truly a living example of the love of Christ and will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know him.
.....Lyndal was a fine musician and a very kind and good person. He and his music will be missed by his many friends at Pearl.
